The beginners course is three days long and costs £260. This course aims to covers level 1 and 2 of the IKO standards and gain you your IKO kiteboarder card for these levels, similar to the PADI scheme for diving. The course runs through basic flying, set up, pack down, self rescue techniques, water relaunching, basic weather, wind and tide knowledge, body-dragging and board-starting. By the end of the course you should have all the knowledge and skills to safely continue practicing without an instructor present.
It is possible to book up day by day but this will be at a rate of £100. You can also do 2 days of the course for £185 and return on a later date to complete the rest of the course if desired. Both of these options are great if you only have the weekend free or if you would like to spread the cost over a period of time. The only thing we do recommend is that you do not have too much of a break between each lesson during a course so that you do not forget everything and slow the progress of others on the course.
Mobius are the only BKSA (British Kite Surfing Association) approved school in Cornwall which means that we offer a very high standard of tuition and have to adhere to strict safety regulations and operating procedures. We are a also a North Kiteboarding pro centre so all prices include the use of the latest equipment with the most up to date safety systems. All group lessons are based on a maximum ratio of four students to one instructor. As we are mobile and are lucky enough in Cornwall to have a different beach for every wind direction, we can also make full use of all conditions, whereas some other schools will cancel lessons if the wind is not blowing from the right direction for their particular beach.
