The Discovery Kiteboarder Program is the most efficient way to learn how to ride on the water. This lesson is facilitated in two steps: land and water instruction. The on-land instruction is designed to give a student the opportunity to learn the basics of the sport and the principles of the “wind window”. This introductory course is taught through demonstration, explanation and practice. The student will have the opportunity to fly a trainer kite to aid in instruction, as well as, a four- line inflatable kite to experience the power of kiteboarding. During the water instruction, you will use the kite in the ”power zone” to propel your body through the water, known as a “body drag.” By the completion of this lesson the student will have a thorough understanding of Kiteboarding and what it will take to master the sport.
