Kitesurfing is becoming increasingly popular and its not hard to see why. The sport is exhilarating and great fun, its also relatively easy to learn and once you have the skills you can kitesurf all over the World.
Our kite surf courses and lessons are appropriate for both beginners and intermediates. Year round wind and great scenery make kite surfing in the Algarve really special. Our setting is the shallow warm water estuary of Alvor, a stones throw from the exciting town of Lagos.
Lagos and Luz are the heart of the west Algarve and beautifully retain their small town charm. Ideally situated just under an hour from Faro airport Lagos is also the terminal of the Algarve railway. Lagos has its own modern marina, beach cafes, golf courses and within its ancient walls lies a network of bars, restaurants, year round entertainment and a bustling night life to suit everyone.

Itinerary & Highlights
Our kite surf beginner's course is instructed according to IKO standards with safety being a priority. A maximum of four students are taught with the latest equipment to ensure maximum advantage to the students learning experience as well as their safety. A support boat is also always on-hand in case of an emergency.
Once a student has completed the entire course they will be issued with an IKO proficiency card that can help around the world with getting access, insurance and with equipment rentals.
The entire course, which is 20+hours and usually lasts 5 days, so if a very comprehensive course .
The Alvor estuary is one of the best spots to learn kite boarding in the Algarve and is one of the stops in the professional kite surfing world tour each year. The estuary itself is adjoined to the ocean and hence as well as a beautiful setting is also a safe one. With the Atlantic Ocean just the other side of the sand dunes, providing another perfect setting for kite surfing albeit with the more advanced kiters looking for an open ocean experience and from time to time some waves as well. |
