Kitesurfing Holiday in Caribbean
Tobago is one of the only places where you can still boast to have been one of the first - if not the first - to ride a number of spots! Either way within 15 minutes you can change from riding the waves of the Atlantic Ocean to the flat water and reefs of the Caribbean Sea. It's not hard though as the island is only 26 miles long and 7 miles long meaning you're never far from a kite spot.
You don't have to be a seasoned rider to enjoy the conditions on offer here and lessons are available meaning you can learn in the warm and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean.
If you're looking for something a little different a kite safari is definitely worth a look in and is an excellent way of ensuring you ride a number of spots, ones that very few people will have ridden. These spots are truly the hidden jewels of the island. |

Itinerary & Highlights
The traininig is offered in Tobago by World of Water Sports who have 2 centres; one at the Hilton and one at Pigeon Point and Instruction is carried out to a high level by IKO qualified instructors.
When you're done learning you can also hire kit from the centre, kit will only be available to those that have learnt with the centre or those that can stay upwind competently.

OCEAN POINT HOTEL - LITTLE ROCKLY BAY
Ocean Point Hotel is a wonderful Caribbean hideaway providing an authentic Tobago flavour. Offering clean and cozy studio units and suites with kitchenettes, oversized balconies with swaying hammocks, a romantic kidney-shaped pool and a delightful open-air restaurant, you can be assured of a warm welcome! Ideal for the budget-minded traveller but you are just two minutes walk away from Tobago's longest beach and right next to a PGA designed Championship Golf Course.
At Ocean Point the rooms are designed with comfort in mind and there are four room types available. Poolside Studios, Upper Attic Studios and Oceanview Studios and Suites. All rooms have a self-contained kitchenette, large bathrooms, air-conditioning, cable TV and a safe.
HILTON TOBAGO - LITTLE ROCKLY BAY
The Hilton Tobago is a superb 4 star hotel with excellent facilities overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Set in 60 acres of tropical gardens all 144 rooms have a balcony with seaview.
Facilities include a 18 hole PGA designed championship golf course, two pools, tennis courts, fitness centre with sauna, children's centre and babysitting service, three bars and two restaurants. Friday's Bar and Grill ia an open air restaurant located on the pool deck, and Coral Reef is a beautiful air-conditioned dining room offering a fine dining experience. All of the tastefully furnished rooms offer air-conditioning, TV, hairdryer, iron, coffee maker, mini bar and safe. World of Watersports who offer windsurfing, kitesurfing and scuba-diving are based at the hotel.
COCO REEF RESORT - PIGEON POINT
Coco Reef is an immaculate property offering the highest standards of accommodation and service. Located on the white sands of Coconut Bay on the leeward side of the island, the wonderful staff here make this hotel one of the Caribbean's best kept secrets.
Set in ten acres of tropical gardens the rooms range from Superior and Deluxe rooms through to villas and suites. The large majority of room have a seaview. All rooms are air-conditioned with fridge, TV, hairdryer, full bathroom and balcony or patio.
TROPIKIST BEACH HOTEL - PIGEON POINT
The Tropikist is situated on the beachfront on the leeward side of Tobago on the edge of Store Bay. Nestled in 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, with friendly staff and a very relaxed feel this hotel offers a good value base with several restaurants and bars within walking distance. World of Watersports Windsurf Centre, based at Pigeon Point is a leisurely 30 minute walk away.
All rooms have air-conditioning, oceanview and TV. Standard Rooms have a bathroom with shower and Superior rooms have bath and shower. There are also Deluxe Rooms available with hairdryer, iron and safe. There are two pools and children's pool, two restaurants offering local and international dishes, bar, disco, live entertainment, massage therapy and babysitting (advance notice required). The hotel can also help with island tours and car rental if you wish to explore the island further.
