Kitesurfing Holiday in Corralejo
Facing Lanzarote, Corralejo was once a small fishing village, now it is a thriving holiday town. The town is on one side of the large bay with apartments and hotels spreading round to the other. Flag Beach is about 4km from town, looking out towards Isla de Lobos. This area has hardly developed and the centre is across the dunes right in the middle of this long sandy beach.
At Flag Beach the wind is predominantly cross-shore and has a stretch of some 6-7 km of white sand. Almost half of this is almost deserted therefore suitable for kitesurfing. The best months are March to November. This is when the sea tends to be flat and wind consistent. During the winter months it can become too wavy and though it might be good on the occasional day it cannot be guaranteed |

Itinerary & Highlights
FLAG BEACH
Flag Beach have a team of excellent watersports instructors who not only sail, windsurf, surf, dive and kitesurf but also speak 6 languages between them. You can also feel safe in their hands as rescue facilites are always at hand for any situation that might occur.
Kitesurfing courses on Fuerteventura are run on a continual basis with groups of not more than 6 people per course. This is an IKO centre and all courses are run by IKO instructors on 4 line kites from the start. The "taster" course is aimed at people who just want to have a try without getting wet, after which stage you can join the full course.

All kitesurfing courses include the kites, boards, wetsuits, buoyancy aid and instructor. Storage/Rescue Cover is recommended for personal equipment. If it is not taken then a charge of Euro 90 per rescue will be charged.
For those that have completed the beginners kitesurfing course, it is recommended to take 5 days rental between 2 people to share the costs.
The kitesurfing kit is predominately North kites and Fanatic & North Boards with various other brands to supplement. |

ESTRELLA DEL MAR APARTMENTS
This is a small complex of 30 apartments situated in gardens around a pool. Located a short distance from the sea, round the main bay in the direction of Flag Beach, they are spacious 1 bedroom apartments only 10 minutes walk to town and a few minutes drive from Flag Beach. All apartments have a bathroom and kitchen.
JARDIN CANARIO APARTMENTS
Jardin Canario complex is situated on the seafront just up from Rocky Point. The swimming pool and pool bar face the sea, however most of the apartments are garden facing. The apartments are bungalow style with one or two bedrooms. The living room has double doors which open onto a terrace, where there is a stairway to a private roof terrace with views across to Los Lobos. All apartments have a small kitchen and bathroom. Irons, hairdryers, TV's, microwaves etc. can be rented from reception.
CASAS QUEMADAS
This is a new block of apartments in the heart of Corralejo town. Pleasantly decorated in a modern style, they offer one, two and three bedroom apartments at very reasonable prices for those on a tighter budget. The large communal roof terrace has far reaching views across the town and the sea.
VILLAS ELENA
This is a small block of 1-bedroom apartments on the outskirts of Corralejo town. There is a communal swimming pool and all apartments have a small kitchen, satellite TV and music system.
VILLAS PERGOLAS
Pergolas III are 3-bedroom semi detached duplex and 4-bedroom detached villas with private pools in Calle Gomera on the outskirts of Corralejo. All properties have a 7' x 3' pool and private garden. Patio furniture and BBQ's are provided (sun loungers in 4-bed). There is a fully fitted kitchen including hob, microwave and fridge freezer. A seperate utility room houses a washing machine and dishwasher.
BRISTOL PLAYA APARTHOTEL
The Aparthotel Bristol Playa is a large Spanish style complex with 184 one and two bedroom apartments. Located on a rocky headland in the centre of Corralejo, only 500 metres from the resort restaurants, bars and shops. It has a two lagoon style saltwater swimming pools set amongst landscaped gardens, with restaurant, poolbar, disco, games room, supermarket, bicycle hire, tennis, table tennis, mini golf and childrens playground. The apartments all have a kitchenette with electric coooking rigs and a fridge, satellite TV, bathroom with shower and a balcony. Maid service is 5 times per week, linen is changed once and towel 3 times a week.
