Two-Centre Kitesurfing Holiday El Yaque
Margarita Island is located just off the Northern Venezuelan coast. It is easily accessed from the UK with either direct charter flights from Gatwick or Manchester or with a daily scheduled service via Caracas.
It's reliable wind from the months of November through to June has made it a mecca for recreational kitesurfers and windsurfers. Ideal for groups of mixed abilities and those that just want to blast! From the beach you can see Coche in the distance. If you like blasting on really flat water then coche is a dream ! The wind blows off shore across the salt flats and beach, creating a perfect speed track than runs along the beach edge - it is like kiting on silk !! |

SKYRIDERS, EL YAQUE
For those wishing to have an introduction to kitesurfing or train with the best the safest and most processional center is Skyriders, a division of the world renown Club Mistral company.
The center has an ideal location on the main beach of El Yaque with a good size private grassed area for kiting up. This is essential in El Yaque as the beach is quite shallow and busy so it is important to have a fended off area. The launch from the main beach is note ideal as it has a big wind shadow and can be very busy with both kiters and local sunbather who seem oblivious the dangers ! Therefore Skyriders will take students to Kite Beach, a 10 minute boat ride up wind, where there is more space, no wind shadow and an area of shallow flat water to practice.

Just a short walk up the slope from the beach, Casa Rita is a very pleasant family run hotel with spectacular views of the ocean and Isla de Coche. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the 20 rooms are spread over 2 floors around a quiet internal courtyard. All rooms are air conditioned with private balcony, mini fridge and safe. COCHE PARADISE
Situated on Coche Island just 30 minutes by motorboat from El Yaque, this beautiful bungalow-style complex is the perfect get-away-from-it all location. The stunning gardens enclose a large swimming pool area, childrens mini-club and rustic open-air restaurant.
