KSM has some of the best, most dedicated and passionate kiteboarding coaches/instructors in the world who are trained and registered with International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). In fact, KSM is the first IKO certified and affiliated kiteboarding center on Maui and one of the first IKO centers in the USA. The KSM team's primary goals are to help reduce the frustration level of learning kitesurfing and to accelerate the learning curve. To help achieve these goals, KSM offers one-on-one instruction for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. This arrangement, which has proven extremely successful, allows instructors to tailor lessons to individual learning rates and needs. As a result, KSM students become independent kiteboarders more quickly and safely.

KSM distinguishes itself from other kitesurfing schools on Maui by having an instructional program coupled with an online retail store. KSM retails online the same current year Cabrinha kitesurfing gear that the instructors teach on. This allows KSM students to try Cabrinha equipment before purchasing their kiteboarding gear. Furthermore, since KSM is the only business on Maui to offer online kiteboarding products and kitesurfing lessons, students have the opportunity to apply 30% of their lesson costs towards the purchase of full retail price kites.

FROM WAILEA: (Drive towards Kahului airport) Turn onto Wailea Alanui Drive and proceed to stop light at the new Wailea Shopping Center. Drive up the hill to Pi`ilani Hwy (#31 North) (to Kahului) and drive 13.5 miles/22 km to Dairy Road (#380). Turn right onto Dairy Road and drive 0.7mile/1.0 km to Hana Hwy (#36). Turn left onto Hana Hwy (#36 North) and drive 0.7 mile to the next stop light at Hana and Hobron. Turn right onto Hobron and drive .5 mile and then turn right onto Amala Place. Drive 1.0 mile on Amala Place and turn left into unpaved parking lot (hint: if you drive over a small bridge, turn around and drive back over bridge and then turn right into unpaved
parking lot) and look for the KSM van. Drive time from Wailea is approximately 30 minutes.

FROM LAHAINA & KA’ANAPALI: (Drive towards Kahului airport) Turn onto Honoapi`ilani Hwy (#30 East) and drive 17 miles/27 km and then turn right onto Kuihelani Hwy (#380) (to Kahului) and drive 6 miles/10 km to Hana Hwy (#36). Turn left onto Hana Hwy (#36 North) and drive 0.7 mile to the next stop light at Hana and Hobron. Turn right onto Hobron and drive .5 mile and then turn right onto Amala Place. Drive 1.0 mile on Amala Place and turn left into unpaved parking lot (hint: if you drive over a small bridge, turn around and drive back over
bridge and then turn right into unpaved parking lot) and look for the KSM van. Drive time from Lahaina and Ka`anapali is approximately 45-60 minutes.
