Ocean Republic was Asia's 1st internationally recognised (International Kiteboarding Organisation) IKO centre.
Established since 2002 in Asia's No1 location it has specialised in teaching beginners through to instructors. We are Boracay's only school to offer joint certified BKSA/IKO certified instructors.
The centre is perfectly located right on the beach. There is a kite rigging area, along with changing facilities, toilets and board storage, and you can get drinks and meals all day at Cafe Tabou.
The shallow white sand beach extends 800m out into the lagoon giving waist deep water across all of the 2 ½ km bay, perfect for learning. Instructors take a maximum of 4 pupils 3-400m offshore before launching kites, well away from the beach and other users,. And thanks to the fringing reef, the sailing area is nice and flat for the lower tide with a little more bump to jump at high tides when more water can spill over the reef.
For the more experienced, there are waves on the reef and 2 deep water inlets where the waves build but don't break, providing deep water and ramps for jumping. The water is crystal clear and Oh! the views are stunning!
There is a great social life here and we have many other watersports available such as diving, wakeboarding, windsurfing....

Flights from Manila Domestic Terminal to Caticlan are serviced by by 3 airlines with some 10-15 flights per day 7am to 4 pm. Ask for details;
The school for the high season is located on Bulabog Beach, the only school that is accessible by road.
The school in low season is located on the white beach next to boat station 1, however not all facilities are available, but there is a bar and a popular coffee cafe restraurant is opposite.
