Trip Highlights

Kitesurfing is quite easy to learn, easier than windsurfing! The object of this kitesurfing course is to enhance the learning process and to create independent kitesurfers. We give you the opportunity to master the skills needed in shortest time but of course how fast you learn depend on your progress. The courses are given on different beaches where we offer a large choice of exercises adapted to everyone's capabilities and to the weather conditions. Your course will be given by an instructor having IKO licence and with several years of experience in teaching. The lessons are given in 8 languages. Group lessons have a maximum of 4 people or alternatively why not take a private tuition. In the Beginner Course you will learn the skills necessary to Body drag, to get up on your board, to handle your sail in a safe way, to avoid errors and to enjoy Kitesurfing. By the end you should be happily up on your board enjoying the downwinders and ready to tackle the intermediate course!

Itinerary

We meet every morning at our Kite shop Dragon in Tarifa town at 10:00am. It is in a new commercial zone Poligono La Vega, Nave 203 (by round about by supermarket Maxi Dia). From there we will go to the kite beach Los Lances.

Kite lessons for beginners, with no experience in kitesurfing:
1st day:
Meterologie/spot analysis for kitesurfing
Kite Set-up/first kite piloting
Safety system - quick release, kite leash
Wind window - zenit, neutral zone, power zone
Landing & launching
Self rescue

2nd day:
Water relaunch
Body dragging
Piloting One Handed
Intro to water start - body, board, kite position, power stroke

All needed kite equipment (helmet, wetsuit, life jacket, harness) is included in the price.
As well the civil liability insurance and accident insurance.

Breakfast is served in our bar area from 8am.

The Hotel La Codorniz is also the perfect place to host seminars and workshops for locals and travelers arriving from abroad. We are the perfect place to host your wedding party, bachlor/ bachlorette parties, and team building seminars.
