Awesome & Exhilarating are two words people use to describe kiting but the only true way to know what it feels like is to experience the buzz for yourself! A one day course will teach you the basics and provide the fundamentals of kite flying. The two day course is where it gets interesting - it's where you get up and moving, flying the waters. At the end of a two day course you should be equipped with all the skills needed to kite and no doubt be hooked for life! (Naturally we all learn at different speeds - so some students may need a little longer to really get to grips!) We have both BKSA & IKO instructors. Enjoy expert teaching, with great accommodation. You can be sure of a great time both on and off the course. There's plenty to keep you occupied in the evenings, whether it be enjoying a swim or sundowners on the deck , relaxing in our chill out lounge, or partying into the night in the Hakuna Matata Bar. Gauranteed fun! If there's no wind and it's a 'non-kiting day' we have plenty for you to do as we also offer Stand Up Paddle Boarding, the latest craze and a great windless day alternative! We aslo have Hip Hobie Kayaks for hire to go exploring the lagoon! Though the beginners course is 1 or 2 days we'd love to have you stay for longer to enjoy our accommodation and the Langebaan life!

Departure Dates

Courses can be booked 7 days a week. Naturally your course is wind dependent so it's always advisable to stay longer if you can, if you're in SA on holiday try to have a window in your itinerary in case we have to reschedule due to weather!

At the end of a one day course you will know all about kitesurfing and how to do the basics safely. No doubt you will be eagerly booking up you board start Day 2 course!

2 Day course - Price: From R2500 ( includes 2 nights accommodation & breakfast see below).

Includes the basics as in the one day course.
The two day courses builds on the knowledge learnt on day one. It's all about getting on the board and moving. This is where it gets interesting! By the end of day two you will know all about Water start theory.

Coming up and riding
Edging and riding upwind
From here you will be at a stage where you will have learnt all the nuts and bolts of kitesurfing, it's just a case of getting out there and practising more, either with more lessons, hiring kit or getting set up with your own.

Transport can be provided from Cape Town. Price is dependent on numbers - please enquire.

There's loads of 'other stuff' to do, so if you feel like staying longer than the course duration we'd be pleased to have you!
We offer complete adventure packages, including kayaking, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, fishing, boat trips, cycling...loads of adventure! ..just ask for details..

NB. Course content of each day may vary dependent on the ability of the student and weather conditions. A full day course is generally up to 5 hours. The above info is a guide of what is generally achieved.

Accommodation Details

Our students stay at our accommodation, The Wacky Bush Lodge. Excellent facilities and a great place to make new friends. All bedrooms are en suite and open onto a covered veranda:

Communal Bunk Room - great for those on a budget or travelling alone.
Twin/double rooms - 5 unique themed rooms
Family Room - sleeps 6
