Turquoise lagoon with waist height water most of the time so ideal for learning and at a average water temperature of 28 degrees it like getting into a bath!! Or if you can already board why not come to practice and maybe learn a new move! Why not extend your learning experience by staying on for a longer holiday and quickly progressing in the learning curve by practising what you learnt in the course while its fresh in your mind! The accommodation "Reef Retreat Resort" is right on the beach with the brand new kite school within the resort grounds so you have everything right there for you! All lessons are carried out under the supervision of IKO qualified staff, who for the most part will be in the water with you, teaching using the latest IKO methods and school specific equipment to enable your rapid progression into the sport!

Itinerary

Day 1.
Objectives:Kite skills and safety
Practical: Kite flying and beach theory, launching, landing, body dragging

Day 2.
Objectives: Advance kite skills
Practical: Student launch , land, 1 hand kite piloting skills.

Day 3-4.
Objectives; Theory of waterstarts and riding
Practical; Your first waterstarts, down wind short rides, edge control for some students. Theory and safety lectures.
You will receive your IKO L2 certification which will enable you to travel all over the world and safely continue with the sport in different wind conditions and locations.

Accommodation Details

Reef Retreat Resort is a brand new Deluxe resort, with 10 rooms and 2 suites, nestled in tropical gardens on Bulabog Beach. Reef Retreat is built and run by a British windsurfer and his wife, Matthew and Clair. They have managed to combine accessibility to the beach without compromising comfort and have incorporated luxury with a native edge. The rooms are a choice of either double or twin and all have garden views and some sea views. The rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar, hot/ cold shower, wifi, cable TV and a private balcony/veranda. Home made breakfast is also included.

Reef Retreat is a stones throw away from the windsurfing and kite boarding beach of Bulabog, which is renowned in Asia as a top windsurfing/ kite boarding spot and hosts the annual Asian Funboard Cup competition. Reef Retreat is ideally located with a windsurfing school and kitesurfing school already on site!; you can literally get out of bed and into your foot straps. Matt and Clair can also help to arrange rental of windsurfing/ kite boarding equipment or arrange for lessons and courses.

For those non board riders or on non windy days, you can relax on your veranda or swing in a hammock in the garden. White beach and the many bars and restaurants are an easy 7 minute walk away.
