Trip Highlights

Boasting over 300 days a year of winds between Force 4 and 7. A large sand spit jutting into the Gulf of Aqaba provides up to 2km of flat water reaching, with a clean cross off-shore breeze, ideal for cracking those carving manoeuvres. Expert sailors may venture beyond the sand bar to the waves of Dahab's outer sailing area. Beginners should not be put off by the strong wind as there are plenty of small sails to use and the naturally formed lagoon provides easy launching conditions. Dahab offers superb conditions for newcomers to kitesurfing. Wide sandy beaches, steady winds and a designated kitesurf lagoon ensure a fabulous environment for learning. Instruction for beginners is provided by our own BKSA/IKO qualified instructors. Packages including tuition and equipment are priced at £180 for 10 hours. The times of this tuition are not fixed in advance, allowing our expert staff to select the best wind and tide conditions for you to learn. Initially, kiteflying skills are learnt on the beach, before moving to the water to learn body drags and basic manoeuvres on the board itself. With the encouragement of our instructors, the sport is made approachable and understandable. We recommend reserving your kitesurfing package at the time of booking your holiday, as places are limited and availability cannot be guaranteed in resort.

Inclusive Tuition and Equipment

Our Dahab centre is a Test Centre for Starboard boards and Tushingham sails. A vast array of the latest equipment is on offer to ensure windsurfers of all levels will be kept more than entertained.

The Starboard boards which grace the Dahab board rack are the most up to date models, well suited to local conditions and include Flare, iSonic, Carve and Kombat. There may even be prototypes available as Starboard work on new designs and fly them out for testing.

Tushingham rigs have long been Neilson favourites, and we're proud to offer a full range on our Dahab kit racks, with a wide selection of sizes and styles to appeal to sailors of all levels.

Accommodation Details

Situated on a beautiful crescent shaped bay against a majestic backdrop of red tinted mountains and sparkling, clear turquoise water.

The low rise buidlings of the Coralia Beachclub are dotted throughout an oasis of lush gardens, palm trees and abundant colourful flowers. This setting provides a cool retreat and a wonderful contrast to the dramatic desert surroundings,

The hotel faces a glorious 600m private stretch of fine golden sand, with acres of space to relax beneath shaded canopies. From here you are perfectly positioned to watch the action on the water or wander along to our beach bar and watersports area.

• Garden view rooms are compact with simple furnishings and twin or double bed; they are all located on the ground floor with a terrace leading onto the extensive gardens.

• Standard rooms with twin or double bed have a terrace with partial or side seaview. They feature a slightly more spacious layout than the garden rooms with ensuite facilities of a higher standard. These rooms are able to accommodate a third bed suitable for a child and are available at a supplement.

• The recently build superior or family rooms are of a higher standard with a large balcony or terrace and seaview. The superior rooms are open plan with a double bed plus single sofa bed or bunk beds. The bunk beds are suitable for 2 children up to 12 years.

Available for a supplement, they are located next to the Neilson activity centre, beach bar and creche.

• All rooms have air conditioning, direct dial telephone, radio, satellite TV, mini bar and ensuite shower. Superior rooms also have safety deposit boxes.

Facilities
• The reception offers money exchange and cash point facilities, safety deposit boxes and a laundry service, available for a small supplement.

• There is a shady Bedouin lounge and bar with an entertainment area.

• The large pool with views of the beach and sailing area is well equipped with sunloungers and parasols and offers complimentary beach towels. Occasional aqua aerobics sessions are also held in the pool.

• A volleyball court is set up on the beach and nearby you will find a children's play area and club facilities for older children, table tennis, two tennis courts and pool table.

• Further along the beach is our windsurfing and sailing equipment, creche and beach bar.

Meals
• The main restaurant serves international and Egyptian buffet style meals on a large shady terrace around the pool. At lunchtime you can also enjoy a meal from the Italian restaurant.

• An extensive buffet breakfast and evening meal is included each day. One day a week you are able to swap the evening meal for lunch.
